I am a young freelance artist from Hungary, who is passionate about digital art. Mostly I work on fantasy illustrations, character artworks and designs, concepts and such.I have multiple passion projects on my own but I always wanted to try myself as a "commission artist".I have a degree in traditional fine arts (2022) such as graphics and painting and currently working on my master's degree in visual culture.

My art journey

I've been drawing for others since I can remember and I always found enjoyment in planning out art pieces with others, getting to know characters and stories written by creative individuals.Traditional art was always a part of my life, drawing instead of playing with toys, and according to my parents I was easily calmed with just a piece of paper and a pencil.
I started experimenting in digital art back in 2011 when I was just a middle school student. Got my very first digital art tablet that year as a gift from my parents and started drawing characters, scenes I imagined with them and eventually characters and designs for my friends.

Very first digital drawings I made in 2011 with a mouse and later with a drawing tablet

Over the years I gained more and more followers and sold my first "commissions" on Deviantart in 2015 for 60 DA points.
80 DA points equal $1, so I was making less then a dollar with every piece.

Some of the very first DA Point Commissions I did back in 2015

I started selling YCHs in 2016, for $2-$3 each. As I'm not a native english speaker, I faced a lot of problems during this period but it encouraged me to learn the language and by now I speak, text, read and listen to content in english every day.For years I was barely making money with art, basically just some dollars each month to pay for snacks or a drink when I go out with friends.
The pieces I made were rough, sketchy, without any background and it lacked details - but I was just a highschool student I didn't really focused on this and art was just the hobby I did besides school activities.

YCH commissions from 2016

From 2017 to 2020 I was less active on social media and barely made any commissions as I focused on my final year in highschool and first years of college.
I mostly worked on passion projects and did a lot of Art Trades with fellow creators!

A passion project I started in 2018 featuring Hugo as the main character - He quickly became a fan favorite amongst my followers and friends!

In 2020 as Covid-19 hit I wanted to support my family somehow - I started selling YCHs and commissions again and worked out the best possible methods for myself to make money with my art.
My income was still minimal compared to the amount of work I put into each piece with an average of $5-$8/hour.
By 2022 I got my degree in fine arts and became more adventorous when it comes to colors, styleing, lights and other aspects to spice up my art.
I was finally able to work up my wage to $15/hour and started making a decent amount with commissions - but my master's degree did not let enough time for me to work on art pieces and I ended up with the longest to-do-list by the end of 2023.
In the first half of 2024 I totally abandoned commissions due to my studies and project works besides university.
2024 was rough with close deadlines, teaching practices, soul-crushing projects and health issues, but by the summer of 2024 I'm finishing my studies and becoming a full-time artist!
These past few years made me realize how the university was the side project and I was always more passionate about creating commissions so it's time to focus more on my art and less on stressing studies.

Artworks from 2024 I'm more proud of than my actual degree
